This 5-hour tour combines a guided ATV adventure on the Reykjanes Peninsula with the option to unwind at the Blue Lagoon — all in a single day trip from Reykjavík. Hotel pickup is included, making the experience seamless from start to finish.
After being collected from your Reykjavík accommodation, you travel directly to the Blue Lagoon area, where you transfer to meet your ATV guides. The ATV base sits just a short drive from the lagoon. From there, your group sets off on mountain roads, climbing over Festarfjall mountain before descending toward the coast.
The highlight of the ride is Selatangar, a dramatic black sandy beach scattered with the ruins of an old fishing station. You'll stop to explore on foot before continuing the mountain safari for the remainder of the two-hour ride.
Once the ATV adventure concludes, your guide returns you to the Blue Lagoon. You can choose to spend the afternoon soaking in the geothermal waters (admission purchased separately) or board the next available bus back to your hotel in Reykjavík.
