About this experience

Lava Show Reykjavík is the only live lava show on the planet — a one-of-a-kind indoor experience where real molten lava is poured before a live audience. Held at Fiskislóð 73 in central Reykjavík, this 55-minute show has earned TripAdvisor's Best of the Best award for both 2024 and 2025, as well as the 2025 Viator Experience Award.

The experience is equal parts entertainment and education. A live host guides you through the science of Icelandic volcanism, an engaging short film explains how volcanic forces have shaped the island over millennia, and then the main event begins: real lava pours into the showroom, glowing, flowing, and radiating intense heat you can feel from your seat.

All guests receive safety goggles, and a Q&A session at the end of the show gives you the chance to ask the host anything. It is a genuinely immersive sensory experience — you see the glow, hear the sizzle, and feel the warmth of one of nature's most powerful forces from a completely safe indoor setting.

Lava Show is consistently ranked among the highest-rated attractions in Iceland and is suitable for families, couples, and solo travellers alike. Children aged 1–12 have their own ticket category, and the minimum age for attendance is 5 years.
