Reykjavík: 3-Day Golden Circle, South Coast & Glacier Lagoon Small-Group Tour

This three-day small-group tour from Reykjavík takes you through the most iconic landscapes in Iceland, combining the classic Golden Circle route with the dramatic South Coast and the remote glacier lagoon in one seamless journey.

Day one heads into the Golden Circle, beginning at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet in a visible rift valley. From there, the route continues to the thundering Gullfoss waterfall and the bubbling hot springs of the Geysir geothermal area. The day ends on the South Coast at Reynisfjara, Iceland's striking black sand beach, framed by towering basalt columns and powerful Atlantic surf.

Day two ventures east to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where enormous icebergs drift silently toward the sea, and Diamond Beach, where those same icebergs wash ashore and glitter against black volcanic sand. An optional ice cave tour is available: from October to March, the Crystal Ice Caves of Vatnajökull glacier are accessible; from April to September, the tour visits Katla Ice Cave on Mýrdalsjökull glacier instead.

Day three returns along the South Coast, stopping at the village of Vík, the curtain-like Seljalandsfoss waterfall — which you can walk behind — and the towering Skógafoss waterfall, before the group returns to Reykjavík.

Your tour departs from Bus Stop #12 (opposite Storm Hotel, Þórunnartún 6, Reykjavík) with hotel pickup also included. Travel is by comfortable coach with free onboard Wi-Fi, guided throughout by a professional English-speaking guide.
