Reykjavík: Blue Lagoon & Golden Circle Small-Group Day Tour

This 11-hour small-group tour from Reykjavík covers Iceland's most celebrated natural and geological highlights in a single full day. Your journey takes in the complete Golden Circle route, with the added bonus of a stop at the volcanic Kerið Crater — a feature not included on many comparable tours.

Þingvellir National Park is Iceland's most historically significant landscape, sitting directly on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Walking through the rift valley here is a rare chance to stand on the boundary of two continents simultaneously.

At the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur, the active geyser Strokkur erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, shooting a column of boiling water 20 to 30 metres into the air. Nearby, Gullfoss — one of Iceland's most dramatic waterfalls — thunders into a rugged glacial canyon in two powerful tiers.

The tour also includes a stop at Kerið Crater, a 270-metre-wide volcanic caldera more than 55 metres deep, with a vivid lake approximately 14 metres deep at its base. Entry to the crater is included in your tour price.

The day concludes with a visit to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, where you can unwind in the famous mineral-rich waters. Please note that Blue Lagoon admission is not included and must be booked separately before your tour date.

Your guide will collect you from your Reykjavík hotel in the morning. The day follows a full-day itinerary covering four major stops across southwest Iceland.

• Þingvellir National Park: Walk the rift valley on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where two tectonic plates diverge beneath your feet.
• Geysir geothermal area: Watch Strokkur erupt every 5–10 minutes, launching water 20–30 metres skyward.
• Gullfoss: Stand at the edge of one of Iceland's most powerful waterfalls as it cascades into a glacial gorge.
• Kerið Crater: Descend around the rim of this ancient volcanic caldera and view the lake at its base. Entry is included.
• Blue Lagoon: End the day soaking in the geothermal waters. Blue Lagoon admission is not included — book your entry ticket separately before the tour.

A lunch stop is included in the schedule, though meals are not covered. The tour returns to Reykjavík hotels after approximately two hours at the Blue Lagoon.
