The journey begins at Skógafoss, a breathtaking waterfall with a 60-metre (210-foot) drop that has served as a filming location for productions including Thor: The Dark World and Game of Thrones. From there, the route continues through the glacial landscape surrounding Mýrdalsjökull — Iceland's fourth-largest glacier — before arriving at Reynisfjara, the famous Black Sand Beach. Here you can explore striking basalt columns, sea caves, and the iconic offshore rock stacks known as Reynisdrangar.

The centrepiece of the day is a glacier hike on Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull.
